Photographing Amy and Atef’s engagement session at the St. James Hotel in Red Wing, Minnesota, was both fun and FREEZING cold. They were total troopers, braving the chilly weather before heading inside to warm up and take in the beauty of the hotel’s interiors.

I leaned into the surroundings of the St. James Hotel while photographing their session. The moment I saw Amy’s green dress she was thinking of wearing, I knew it was the perfect choice for the hotel’s interior. The way it matched the beautiful green lampshades felt almost meant to be. Atef’s plaid shirt also fit seamlessly into the space, complementing the rich wooden walls and leather chairs. Their outfits aligned most beautifully inside the bar, where the dark wood and warm textures created a stunning backdrop.

It was a session where everything just came together—the couple, the setting, and the details—all working in harmony to create something truly special.
