Once again, when it’s one of your best friend’s children who is the subject of your senior session, it just hits differently. I’ve known Gavin since the day he was born, and I honestly can’t believe how quickly the years have gone. And here we are, somehow, photographing his senior session.

I always love making senior sessions personal and reflective of the season of life they’re in. For Gavin, it only made sense to incorporate the places and things that have shaped his story. A true St. Croix River rat, Gavin’s session began at the beach along the St. Croix River. From there, we headed to downtown Hudson to photograph him in the town he’s always called home. And, of course, we couldn’t finish without capturing him doing what he loves most, lacrosse.

After an incredible season with the Hudson Raiders, Gavin had plenty to celebrate, including scoring the game-winning point at the state championship game. And now, another chapter begins. Gavin will be heading to Rockhurst University, where he’ll continue his lacrosse career playing for the Hawks’ Division II team.

So much to be proud of, so much to celebrate, and so many exciting things ahead. Congratulations, Gavin! It has been such a gift watching you grow into the young man you are today.
