I was absolutely elated when Lauren and Ryan reached out about photographing their darling family. The last time I had seen them was six years ago when I photographed their beautiful wedding at the Hidden Meadow & Barn in Lake Pepin, so reconnecting felt extra special (Click here to see their beautiful wedding photos). Lauren’s mom, Charlotte, joined us for a few photos, adding another meaningful layer to the session.

At first, the girls were a little shy around me, but it didn’t take long before they warmed up. A few giggles, a little trust, and some classic dad tricks—like being tossed in the air or flipped upside down—and their true personalities began to shine in front of the camera.

It was such a joy to see them again and to capture their story during this season of life.
